This bill, concerning reprecincting, mandates that a commission must deliver an electronic geographic information system shapefile, or equivalent, containing all municipal wards and precincts within approved congressional, councillor, senatorial, and representative districts, along with an ASCII compatible file detailing changes to municipalities, wards, precincts, and counties, to the senate president and speaker of the house within seven days of the approval of all municipal wards and precincts. It also revises deadlines for establishing these districts, moving them from a fixed date in census years to no later than 30 days after the Governor's final approval of the decennial apportionment of these districts, and makes other adjustments to the timing and conditions for precinct changes, particularly in towns whose territory is divided among multiple districts, to ensure stability until the next redistricting cycle following the next decennial federal census.
