To ensure awareness, insurers must include a clear and conspicuous disclaimer with any payment or voucher sent to the insured, warning them that failure to pay the provider can lead to civil or criminal liability under this section. Additionally, upon issuing payment to the insured, the insurer must also send a notification to the service provider entity confirming that the claim payment has been disbursed to the insured.
