This bill allows the trustees of the University of Massachusetts (UMMS) to increase the size of their medical school's entering class by up to twenty-five students who are not residents of Massachusetts, meaning they do not meet the state's residency requirements as defined in a previous act from 1988. The UMMS trustees are required to create and submit a comprehensive plan, including financial projections, for this class size increase and the enrollment of these non-resident students to legislative committees by January 1, 2015.
