This bill aims to improve accountability for legislative reports by requiring all state secretariats, commissions, departments, agencies, and other entities to track all reports mandated by law, whether completed or not. It also mandates that these legislative directives be made easily accessible online in a searchable format on the website of the Office of Commonwealth Performance, Accountability and Transparency, which is a state office responsible for overseeing government performance and transparency. Furthermore, the bill requires all entities that must file a report with the legislature or legislative committees to do so electronically and to also provide an electronic copy to the Office of Commonwealth Performance, Accountability and Transparency. This office will then monitor the progress of these reports and make them publicly available on its website, while also ensuring hard copies are provided upon request.
