This bill, the Elkhorn Ranch and White River National Forest Conveyance Act of 2015, requires the United States to transfer ownership of approximately 148 acres of land, identified as the Elkhorn Ranch, to the Gordman-Leverich Partnership (GLP), a Colorado Limited Liability Partnership. This transfer is subject to any existing rights, such as those held by the lessee of federal oil and gas lease COC-75070, and the United States will retain the right to collect rent and royalty payments from this lease for its duration. The conveyance must be completed within 180 days of the bill's enactment and will be without payment from GLP, except that GLP must cover all costs incurred by the Department of the Interior for surveys, legal descriptions, and other preparations needed to issue the official transfer document, known as a patent. The bill also clarifies that this land transfer will not alter the existing boundaries of the White River National Forest or specific sections within it.
