These programs must ensure students can use alternative devices, that the device is essential for remote learning, and that its use is solely for educational purposes. Additionally, institutions must create a written policy detailing how the device will improve instruction and student success, including how it's used in a student's field of study, a list of necessary software, and plans for secure storage.
