This bill proposes to establish a "long-term family care program" that would provide monthly compensation to family caregivers who provide medical or supervisory care to an "eligible person," defined as a resident who is clinically eligible for long-term care services. A "family caregiver" is a family member or someone living in a familial relationship who provides this care, and a "family member" is defined broadly to include relatives by blood, legal custody, or marriage.
