Specifically, it clarifies that the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) is not obligated to enter into contracts with all licensed facilities, and it revises the rules for comprehensive transitional education programs, which are structured residential settings providing temporary educational, training, treatment, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for individuals with developmental disabilities and severe or moderate maladaptive behaviors, by setting a maximum of 120 residents for the entire program and a limit of 15 residents per residential unit, with an exception for programs already operating larger units before July 1, 2015.
