This bill establishes annual use fees of $25 for two new specialty license plates: "Support Special Needs Kids" and "America the Beautiful," and directs the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to develop these plates. It also revises how annual use fees from the "In God We Trust" specialty license plate are distributed, allowing the In God We Trust Foundation, Inc. to use up to 10% for marketing and administration, with the remainder supporting military families, public safety employees, and educational initiatives related to American and Florida history. For the "Support Special Needs Kids" plate, after initial development costs are covered, the Dan Marino Foundation, Inc. will receive the fees, using up to 10% for promotion and the rest for programs assisting Floridians with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including scholarships, job placement, and promoting independence. Similarly, for the "America the Beautiful" plate, after startup costs, the America the Beautiful Fund will receive the fees, allocating up to 10% for administrative costs and marketing, and the remainder for programs supporting military service members and their families, educational scholarships, and conservation efforts.
