This bill requires landlords, condominium associations, cooperative associations, and homeowners' associations to process rental applications from servicemembers, which are members of the armed forces, within seven days of submission. Within this seven-day period, the association or landlord must inform the servicemember in writing whether their application is approved or denied, and if denied, provide the reason. If the application is not denied within the specified timeframe, the landlord or association must allow the rental to proceed, provided all other lease terms are met. This provision cannot be waived or altered by any agreement between the parties.
