This bill directs the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), referred to as "the authority," to lower tolls if they were previously increased to fund a $1.25 billion contribution towards a mass transit tunnel project connecting New Jersey and New York, known as the Access to the Region's Core Tunnel project. If this project is canceled or terminated after tolls have already been collected for its financing, the NJTA must pass a resolution or take other necessary steps to immediately reduce these tolls to reflect that the obligation to fund the project has ended.
