This bill, the Water Technology Acceleration Act of 2016, aims to speed up the creation and use of new water technologies by amending the Federal Water Pollution Control Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act. It does this by allowing funds from State Revolving Funds (SRFs), which are federal programs that provide low-cost loans to states for water infrastructure projects, to be used for innovative water technologies.
