Introduced Session

As introduced, this bill permits the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, or community-based organizations to file an action in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to stop or prevent health, safety, and security hazards in rental housing accommodations. Specific examples provided in the bill include vermin infestations, filth and contamination, and inadequate heating and ventilation occurring over a period of at least thirty days.
