This bill allows certain lottery prize winners in Texas to choose to remain anonymous and prohibit the release of their personally identifiable information to the public, if the prize amount is $1 million or more. The bill also requires the Texas Lottery Commission to adopt rules and procedures to implement this change in law by December 1, 2017, and specifies that the new anonymity provision applies only to lottery prize claims submitted on or after January 1, 2018.
