This bill allows customers to bring their own bottle of wine to a restaurant, dispenser, or canopy licensee and consume it on the premises. The restaurant or licensee may charge the customer a corkage fee for uncorking and serving the wine, though they are not required to offer uncorking services. The bill also allows customers to remove a partially consumed bottle of wine from the premises, provided they purchased a full-course meal and consumed a portion of the wine on the premises. The bill specifies requirements for how the restaurant or licensee must handle the partially consumed bottle. The effective date of the bill is July 1, 2017.
