This bill requires that a medical fee dispute in a workers' compensation claim must be filed with the Division of Workers' Compensation within a certain time frame - not later than 18 months after the date payment was received for services rendered on or before the effective date of this bill, and not later than 12 months after the date payment was received for services rendered after the effective date. The bill does not change the existing requirements that the medical fees cannot be charged against or collected from the injured worker, and that there can be no delay in the worker's treatment due to a claim by a medical provider.
