This bill amends the definition of "marijuana" in the Controlled Substances Act to exclude the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of the plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than three-tenths percent on a dry weight basis, as well as the seeds, compounds, manufactures, salts, derivatives, mixtures, or preparations of the plant. In other words, this bill exempts hemp from the definition of "marijuana" under the Controlled Substances Act.
