This bill amends the Home Bakery Act of 2013 in Oklahoma to expand the definition of "home food establishment" to allow prepared food to be sold at farmers markets, on-site, through cooperatives, and for delivery, as long as the business has less than $20,000 in gross annual sales of prepared food. The bill also exempts home food establishments from state health department licensing requirements, while allowing the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry to request documentation to verify the business's annual sales upon a consumer complaint. Finally, the bill recodifies the amended sections of the Home Bakery Act into a new section of the Oklahoma Statutes, and sets the effective date of the changes to November 1, 2017.
