This bill, amending New York's public health law, prohibits the sale, storage, distribution, or use of high-fructose corn syrup in any food product intended for sale or service in restaurants, food service establishments, retail food stores, and other food establishments. The Commissioner of Health is empowered to create the necessary rules and regulations to enforce this prohibition, which would take effect immediately upon passage.
