This Joint Memorial encourages state agencies to actively support and participate in the creation of a statewide energy road map for New Mexico, a project initiated with a grant from the United States Department of Energy. This road map aims to foster collaboration among various energy stakeholders, including utilities, oil and gas companies, renewable energy providers, and government bodies, to develop effective strategies for New Mexico's energy future, building upon existing energy policies and potentially establishing new standards for energy production and use after 2020, while ensuring the reliability of utility infrastructure. The memorial specifically requests state agencies to provide information, representation, and partnership to the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, which is leading this initiative, and asks for an update on the road map's progress by November 2018.
