AI Summary
This bill aims to encourage Canadian tourism to the United States by amending the Immigration and Nationality Act. It would allow the Department of Homeland Security to admit Canadian citizens aged 55 or older, and their spouses, as visitors for pleasure for up to 240 days if they maintain a residence in Canada, own or rent a U.S. residence, and meet other eligibility requirements. These Canadian visitors would not be allowed to engage in employment or seek certain government benefits during their stay. The bill also specifies that maintaining a U.S. residence would not be considered evidence of intent to abandon their Canadian residence.
