This bill directs the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to develop several new specialty license plates, including those for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. The bill establishes an annual use fee of $25 for each of these specialty plates. The revenue from the sale of these plates will be distributed, with 10% going towards marketing, 85% going to the respective organizations to promote community awareness and action through educational, economic, and cultural service activities, and 5% going to the United Negro College Fund for scholarships for Florida residents attending the state's historically black colleges and universities. The bill takes effect on October 1, 2017.
