This bill provides a sales and use tax exemption for construction materials, supplies, and equipment used in a private redevelopment project on the site of the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant. The exemption applies to sales and purchases made from June 30, 2017, to December 31, 2022. The tax must be collected as if the full sales tax rate applied and then refunded to the purchaser. This bill also adds the redevelopment project to the list of eligible projects for which a sales tax refund can be claimed.
