This bill proposes changes to the contributory group insurance program for public service employees and retirees in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The key provisions are: 1. For employees hired before January 1, 2018, the Commonwealth will contribute at least 75% of the total monthly premium for group life, accidental death and dismemberment, and health insurance. For employees hired on or after January 1, 2018, the Commonwealth's contribution will be at least 50%, with the retiree contributing the remaining 50%. 2.
