This bill amends the Massachusetts Military Family Relief Fund to expand eligibility to include service members who died on active duty, not just those killed in action. It also ensures that revenues credited to the fund remain in the fund and are not subject to appropriation. Additionally, the bill modifies the information required to be publicly disclosed about service members, replacing the requirement to provide name, address, rank and rating with just the service member's city or town. The bill takes effect upon passage.
