This bill authorizes the town of Burlington to grant six additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises and two additional licenses for the sale of wines and malt beverages to be drunk on the premises, specifically within the Civic Center Overlay District (CC) and Central Business Overlay District (CBD) of the town. The licensing authority may restrict these licenses to holders of common victualler licenses. The licenses cannot be transferred to other locations, but can be granted to new applicants at the same location if the applicant provides good standing letters from the Department of Revenue and Department of Unemployment Assistance. If a license is cancelled, revoked, or no longer in use, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant within the town center overlay zoning district.
