This bill authorizes the New York State Commissioner of Transportation to convey a 181,029 square foot (approximately 4.2 acre) parcel of land in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County to the town for fair market value. The bill requires the town to preserve 100% of the existing parking in a suitable location and reserve portions of the property necessary for existing and future highway needs. The town must submit an accurate survey and description of the land for approval, and must apply for the land transfer within 5 years and make improvements within 5 years of the effective date of the bill, or the land will revert to the state.
