This bill establishes a Federal Task Force to Support Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. The task force will identify, promote, coordinate, and disseminate information and resources to help grandparents or other relatives meet the needs of the children in their care and maintain their own health and emotional well-being. The task force will also ensure that the needs of members of Native American tribes are addressed. The task force will submit two reports to Congress, one within 180 days of enactment and a follow-up report two years later, that include best practices, resources, and an identification of gaps in needs for grandparents and other relatives raising children. The task force will terminate five years after the date of enactment.
