AI Summary

This bill repeals provisions relating to the suspension of driver's licenses and vehicle registrations for delinquent child support payments or failure to comply with child support proceedings. It also removes penalties that allowed the court to direct the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to withhold, suspend, or revoke a person's driver's license or driving privileges for certain tobacco and alcohol-related offenses by minors. The bill requires the Department to issue, reinstate, or renew any driver's license or driving privilege that was previously withheld, suspended, or revoked under the repealed provisions, and to conduct a study on reducing the time unsafe driver points remain on a record.
