This bill revises the eligibility criteria for reduced license taxes on truck tractors and heavy trucks transporting certain agricultural or horticultural products. The bill removes the 150-mile radius requirement and allows vehicles engaged exclusively in transporting raw, unprocessed, and nonmanufactured agricultural or horticultural products within the state to qualify for the reduced license fees, regardless of the declared gross vehicle weight. The bill also clarifies the documentation requirements and the definition of "not-for-hire" for these vehicles. The bill will take effect on July 1, 2018.
