This bill allows pawnbrokers to charge a late fee, not exceeding 10% of the amount loaned, for each item that is not claimed by the pledged due date, as long as the pawner is notified of the fee on the pawn ticket. The bill also maintains the existing provisions that pawnbrokers must keep detailed records of each loan or transaction, including a description of the goods, the date and amount of the transaction, and the identification of the person involved.
