This bill, the No Congressional Vehicle Leases Act, prohibits the use of official funds provided for the operations of a House of Congress to lease vehicles for a period longer than 30 consecutive days or to lease vehicles at a daily rate exceeding a maximum rate established by regulation. The bill requires the Committee on House Administration and the Committee on Rules and Administration to promulgate regulations necessary to carry out the Act, and defines a "Member of Congress" as a Senator, Representative, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner. The Act will apply to leases entered into after the expiration of a 1-year period following the date of its enactment.
