This bill modifies provisions relating to the Department of Natural Resources. The key provisions are: - Increases the maximum amount of a grant that may be issued by the Department of Natural Resources for financing certain utility projects from $1,400 per connection to $3,000 per connection. - Creates the Radioactive Waste Investigation Fund within the state treasury to be used by the Department of Natural Resources to investigate concerns of exposure to radioactive waste upon request by a local governing body. - Allows for the formation of a public benefit nonprofit corporation to hold, manage, or own environmentally impaired property that is subject to an ongoing cleanup or remedial action, with certain restrictions and requirements. - Extends the sunset date of the Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund from 2020 to 2025 and establishes a task force to research and report on the efficacy, sustainability, and administration of the fund. - Allows the Director of the Department of Agriculture to waive or establish temporary alternative requirements for fuels in the event of an extreme and unusual fuel supply circumstance.
