This bill amends the requirements for licensure as a marriage and family therapist in Florida. It provides equivalent education requirements for licensure by examination, including a master's degree in marriage and family therapy or a closely related field from an accredited program, or a Florida university program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. It also deletes certain education requirements for licensure or certification by endorsement, such as the need to meet the same education requirements as those for initial licensure. The bill specifies that the required 2 years of clinical experience can be completed at the post-master's level under the supervision of a licensed marriage and family therapist with at least 5 years of experience.
