This bill amends existing law to provide licensure exemptions for physicians, physician assistants, dietitians, and athletic trainers under certain circumstances. Specifically, it allows physicians and physician assistants licensed in other jurisdictions to practice in Idaho for up to 60 days per calendar year if they are affiliated with or employed by an established athletic team, organization, or performing arts company and are only practicing on patients, clients, or staff affiliated with that entity. It also provides a similar exemption for dietitians and athletic trainers licensed in other jurisdictions to practice in Idaho under the same circumstances. The bill clarifies that these exemptions do not allow the practitioners to provide care to Idaho residents outside of the specified affiliated entities or to practice at licensed healthcare facilities in Idaho.
