This bill, the Youth Mental Health Protection Act, prohibits certain mental health or child care practitioners from engaging in "conversion therapy" with minors. The bill also prohibits the use of state funds for conducting, referring, or providing conversion therapy services or coverage. The Department of Health is required to adopt regulations to implement this law, which will take effect on October 1, 2018.
