Bill Summary

This bill would prohibit persons convicted of committing a sex offense against a person under the age of 18 from working on frozen dessert trucks or in amusement parks. As used in the bill, "amusement park" means a permanent indoor or outdoor facility or park where amusement rides are available for use by the general public. "Frozen dessert truck" means a motor vehicle in which frozen desserts are carried for purposes of retail sale on the streets of this State. A violation of the provisions of the bill would be a crime of the fourth degree, which is punishable by up to 18 months imprisonment, a fine of up to $10,000, or both.
