AN ACT Relating to improving security in schools and the safety1of students by: Creating a grant program for school districts to2implement emergency response systems; creating a program to provide3students and the community with the means to report unsafe or violent4activities; requiring the same background check process to purchase5certain rifles and shotguns as is currently required for pistols;6prohibiting persons under the age of 21 from purchasing certain7rifles and shotguns; and generating funds; amending RCW 9.41.090,89.41.094, 9.41.097, 9.41.0975, 9.41.110, 9.41.113, 9.41.124,936.28A.420, and 9.41.240; reenacting and amending RCW 42.56.240 and109.41.010; adding a new section to chapter 43.10 RCW; adding a new11section to chapter 28A.320 RCW; creating a new section; and12prescribing penalties.13
