This bill extends the right to use deadly force against an intruder under certain conditions to include not just occupants of a dwelling, but also owners, managers, and employees of a business. The bill amends existing Colorado law to allow the use of deadly physical force against an intruder who has unlawfully entered a business, if the business owner, manager, or employee reasonably believes the intruder has committed or intends to commit a crime in the business, and that the intruder might use any physical force against them. The bill provides immunity from criminal prosecution and civil liability for those who use such force in accordance with the law.
