This bill establishes the Delaware School Safety and Security Fund to allow certain eligible public schools (including high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools) to partially or fully fund projects intended to improve school facilities and training relating to safety or security. The Department of Education will administer the fund and determine which items, such as camera equipment, door locks, and security training, are eligible for funding. The fund will initially be funded with $5 million and will be subject to available appropriations thereafter.
