Bill Summary

Relative to anaerobic digestion.

AI Summary

This bill aims to promote the use of anaerobic digestion technology in renewable energy generation. It does this by providing that electric energy generated from anaerobic digestion of agricultural, food, or animal waste located on agricultural land will be counted double towards the state's renewable energy requirements. Additionally, the bill exempts agricultural and anaerobic digestion net metering facilities from aggregate net metering capacity caps, allowing them to net meter and accrue Class I, II, or III net metering credits.
