Bill Summary

This bill amends provisions in the "New Jersey Conflicts of Interest" statutes (N.J.S.A.52:13D-12 et seq.) that allows a State officer or employee, or a special State officer or employee, to enter into a contract with a State agency for the development of scientific or technological discoveries or innovations if the State agency has a property right in the discovery or innovation. This bill removes the condition that the State agency has a property right in the discovery or innovation. It will allow for the use of this provision for contracts in which State agencies does not have a property right.
