AI Summary

This bill amends Section 6 of the Michigan Campaign Finance Act, which defines the term "expenditure" for the purposes of campaign finance regulations. The key changes include clarifying that certain voter registration and get-out-the-vote activities are considered expenditures, and providing exceptions for certain types of expenditures, such as those made by tax-exempt organizations for nonpartisan voter registration and get-out-the-vote activities. The bill also specifies that it will not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 1238 is also enacted into law, and that it will take immediate effect upon becoming law.
