This bill focuses on mitigating extreme heat in urban areas by investing in tree canopies and shade infrastructure along transit corridors, sidewalks, bus stops, school zones, and underserved neighborhoods.

The B.I.K.E Act directs NHTSA to update their bicycle education curriculum for k-12 schools, and to disseminate the curriculum through State Highway Safety Offices. In addition, the act would clarify that in-school on-bike education is eligible for funding under the section 405 grants
