This bill modifies provisions relating to campaign finance in Missouri. It repeals the existing section 130.047 of the state's Revised Statutes and enacts a new section in its place. The key changes are: (1) reducing the threshold for when individuals who are not defined political committees must report their campaign-related expenditures from $500 to $25; and (2) requiring such individuals to report their expenditures within 14 days, or within 48 hours if the expenditure is made within 14 days of an election. The bill provides an exception for individuals using only their own funds or resources to coordinate with a candidate or committee, as long as those expenditures are recorded and reported by the supported candidate or committee.
