AI Summary

This bill amends existing laws to provide teachers and other school employees in Louisiana with the right to immediately cease the withholding of labor organization dues from their wages upon submitting a written or email request to their employer. The bill requires employers to notify the labor organization of the employee's decision and prohibits further debt from accruing to the labor organization. Additionally, the bill mandates that all authorizations for labor organization dues must be renewed annually and contain specific language informing employees of their First Amendment right to refrain from joining or financially supporting a labor organization. The bill also applies similar provisions to state, parish, and city employees regarding the withholding of union dues and professional law enforcement and firefighter association dues.
