AI Summary
This bill proposes to prohibit the manufacture, possession, distribution, importation, sale, and transfer of large capacity magazines, which are defined as ammunition feeding devices that can hold more than 10 rounds. The bill allows for continued possession of large capacity magazines that were owned prior to the effective date, subject to restrictions on their sale, transfer, and use. The bill provides limited exemptions for certain government officers, law enforcement, military members, licensed firearms manufacturers and dealers, and persons engaged in sport shooting or permanently relinquishing a large capacity magazine. The bill also declares that distributing, selling, or facilitating the sale of large capacity magazines online is an unfair or deceptive act under the state's consumer protection law.
