AI Summary

This bill amends the Public Officers Law to require state agencies and the state legislature to publish on their websites records that are of substantial public interest and available under the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL). The bill specifies that these records can be removed from the websites when they are no longer of substantial public interest or have reached the end of their legal retention period. The bill also directs the Committee on Open Government to promulgate regulations to implement these new requirements and clarifies that the provisions do not limit agencies' existing authority to publish records on their websites prior to a FOIL request.
