This bill amends the New York tax law to provide a tax credit to certain landowners who allow snowmobile access, in the form of state-funded snowmobile trails, on their property. The credit is equal to 10 cents per linear foot of the snowmobile trail, with a maximum credit of $750 per year. The credit can be carried over to the following year(s) if it exceeds the taxpayer's tax liability, and taxpayers can choose to receive the excess as a refund. The bill takes effect on January 1 of the year following its enactment and applies to taxable years beginning on or after that date.
