This bill requires the establishment of a community housing waiting list within the Office of Mental Health (OMH) service system. It directs providers of housing services in the OMH system to provide the OMH with monthly lists of individuals referred to, admitted to, applying for, withdrawing applications for, and denied admission to their housing programs. The bill also requires county-based agencies performing assessments of individuals with documented mental illness to provide the OMH with the names of those who meet the eligibility criteria for OMH-funded or licensed housing programs. The OMH is required to publish the community housing waiting list monthly and submit a detailed report on the list to the Governor, legislative committees, and local community services boards.
